How to change DNS [windows tutorial]

Manually change IP address of your default DNS server to IP address of Google public DNS server.

Google public DNS
Prefered DNS server: 8.8.8.8
Alternate DNS server 8.8.4.4


1. go to control panel.






2. click Network and Internet.

3. click Network and Sharing Center.

4. click Change adapter settings.

5. right click your available Local Area Connection.
5.1 click Properties.

6. choose IPv4 & click Properties

Attention: before you fill the bar with those IP address numbers, you got to click Advanced first. If there are any DNS server IP addresses listed there, write
them down (in a book as well) for future reference, and remove them. Continue:

7. tick "use the following DNS server addresses.
7.1 fill the preferred DNS server, alternate DNS server with the given.
